Michaela – Chief Executive Officer
Michaela, MBE
Michaela has over 14 years of experience in developing, leading and managing community projects with children, young people and families living in communities impacted by poverty in Glasgow. Michaela has been with PEEK for over 21 years and is in the unique position of being a participant, volunteer and staff member to now CEO. Additionally, Michaela has been involved with a variety of organisations across the UK such as UnLtd, British Council, Sport Relief and Spirit of 2012. Michaela was a UNICEF Flying Scot Ambassador during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and helped to raise over £ 6 million for UNICEF UK. Michaela’s work and study experience has taken her to Australia, Guyana, Uganda and New York and Washington D.C through organisations such as UNICEF, British Council, Camp America and KaBOOM!
Michaela is currently a trustee for Corra Foundation.
Michaela was awarded an MBE in The Queen’s New Year Honours 2022 for services to the community in Glasgow during Covid-19
