Jackie was the Chief Executive of Children in Scotland for 8 years until 2021. Prior to this, Jackie was a respected Civil Servant within the Scottish Government for 13 years where her expertise focused on children, child protection, the Curriculum for Excellence and youth justice. Jackie remains a leading figure in the third sector as programme manager for What Matters 2 You, a voice-led systems change project, funded by BBC Children in Need and The Hunter Foundations. Jackie also sits on the Board of Directors of The Promise Scotland, the Scotland Committee of the National Lottery and Loretto Housing Association (Wheatley Housing Group).
