Play Ranger

Ryanna Ferran

Ryanna began her journey in 2012-2014 as a volunteer peer educator, delivering tackling violence and anti-bullying workshops to primary school children in schools across the East End of Glasgow. Upon leaving school she went onto study and gain a HND in Acting & Performance. Since then, Ryanna has worked in various outdoor play centred settings, youth groups and schools and in 2019 took part in a 6 month residential camp delivering an array of outdoor recreational activities to school groups, family camps and NCS students.

Shortly after Ryanna’s return from working in the outdoor activity camp, she applied for an ADOC based sessional role within the PEEK Team and has since then became a member of the Play Team. Her role involves supporting the delivery of outdoor play sessions – promoting the benefits of both structured and free play for children and young people, working in unison with other PEEK team members to provide all individuals with the best experiences throughout their sessions.

Ryanna firmly believes in empowering all children and young people to reach their potential. She hopes to be able to bring in more outdoor play/activity opportunities – to be made accessible to all individuals in order to further enable them to find the tools to build on their resilience and confidence skills. She also, looks forward to sharing practice with other team members and gaining more experience to be able to contribute to the overall vision, PEEK has built.
