Community Artist

Kirsty Malone

Kirsty has dedicated her life to the Arts since gaining a place at The Dance School of Scotland, based in Knightswood Secondary, at the age of 16. She continued her study in Music at the University of London before finding her jazz hands and completing the Master’s in Musical Theatre Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Since graduating, Kirsty has worked as a theatre practitioner for over 12 years, as a performer and outreach facilitator in a variety of settings including community centres, schools, theatres and museums. As a drama and singing specialist her passion is applying her skills in social contexts and engaging communities in a participatory setting.  She has first-hand professional and personal experience of how uplifting, empowering and healing music, drama, art and movement is and how impactful it can be.  Kirsty joined PEEK as a freelancer in 2018 and is now delighted to part of the team as a Community Artist.  She looks forward to collaborating with her like-minded team to create positive arts experiences in her home city of Glasgow.
