How are we helping communities during Covid-19?

by Michelle McDonald 29th April 2020

PEEK’s Response to Covid-19

It has been a very challenging time and adjustment period for us all during this pandemic. PEEK is doing all we can to support communities across Glasgow to have access to fresh food, hot meals, essentials hygiene products, mobile and electric and gas top ups. Our focus now is delivering food and hygiene hampers in our mobile food truck PEEK-A-CHEW to support as many children, young people and families as possible amidst the Coronavirus outbreak. From the beginning of lockdown until the week ending 24th April, we have delivered over 100,000 meals to families across Glasgow and we will continue to provide as much support as possible during this global crisis.

We also recognise that this pandemic will have numerous effects on mental health in both children and adults therefore, we are here to support anyone of the other side of the phone as a friend. We will also be providing activity packs which include creative art supplies to children as well as fun online challenges and videos for families to participant in via our social media channels.
