Creative Learning Development Manager

Helen Mill

Helen grew up in North East Scotland. She became involved in Young People’s Theatre groups and loved performing on stage. Gaining a BA Hons in Performance Arts Studies, Helen has been delivering drama and arts workshops with children and young people since she moved to Glasgow in 2003. She has worked with a number of organisations and arts companies delivering a huge range of workshops and directing young people’s theatre. Helen joined PEEK in April 2010 as Young Person’s Volunteer Coordinator. In this role she engaged with young people to help develop their skills in working with children, supporting events and developing projects and encouraged them to become positive role models in the project and wider community. She also developed a number of Peer Education projects and found that she was able to combine her love of the arts with working with young people here at PEEK and soon developed the Creative Learning Programme. Helen is now PEEK’s Creative Learning Development Manager and loves having the opportunity to develop projects alongside some amazingly talented young people and staff.
