Fiona Muir

Fiona has an array of experience in developing, leading and managing national youth work programmes within the third sector across Scotland within physical activity, creative arts and attainment for children, young people, volunteers and youth workers. Over the past 10 years, Fiona began her journey working as Dance Instructor, quickly leading to Head of Dance Programmes with Achieve More Scotland. During this time, Fiona developed a passion for working with young females to improve their confidence, self-esteem and physical Activity levels and through this, successful secured the Girls on the Move programme worker with Youth Scotland.
During her last 6 years, Fiona has had the opportunity to travel across Scotland, learning about Community Development in all local authorities, youth work approaches, supporting and providing opportunities to young people and emerging new leaders in local communities, and run key national events across Scotland for the Third Sector including Girls on the Move and Active Girls conference, National Campaign Active Girls Day and Youth Scotland National Young People and Youth Workers Conference.
